Hackers have now turned up their attention towards online games. Online games which are giving a huge profit to their developers are now targeted badly by the hacking industry. As more and more peoples are using the online panel of playing games; this has given hackers a chance to get into their PC’s and attack the personal information.
Microsoft Security Intelligence Report has reported 156% increase in cases of the Taterf worm, which scans USB-sticks, external hard-drives and shared folders of infected PCs. Worms are now a day’s one of the biggest security threats which attack the businesses and the domestic users, said by Microsoft.
This report was basically formulated to warn the gamers and the operator of the online games to maintain the security of their computers and when they are interacting with the outside servers there computer should be mature enough to track those worms. The best way to do this is to get very good anti-virus software and update it almost daily or weekly. Another solution could be; try to play the games on only authenticated web sites that are well known among the other peoples.
