This month the entire world has seen the most dashing release of new Google TV services which has been made possible with the company’s collaboration with Intel, Sony and LogiTech, Virgin media which has always been looking for a chance to compete Google is not silent still now. While talking to TechRadar the company announced that it is eager to launch its TiVo powered new set top boxes and this has been followed by the Google’s announcement of Google TV.
The new TiVo platform from the US side is due to be released later this year and some of the features which are forming its basis include a focus on search and collating multiple resources like video on demand and internet chips.
According to the statements given by the company at the TechRadar’s platform “Virgin Media was the first to bring the likes of BBC iPlayer to the living room TV and to help customers watch what they want, when they want.” And further “We’re particularly excited about the launch of our TiVo-powered next-generation service later this year, which will offer Virgin Media customers a unique intuitive TV experience to help recommend and organize the vast digital world of entertainment.” Thus we can see that Virgin media is really bringing some great competition for the Google TV platform which is itself quite new to the field of internet TV.
