So, do you think that these social networking sites are meant only for youngster? I am sorry to tell you that you are absolutely wrong. In fact, there is a trend going on in the aged people of using these social networking hubs. Recently, a 104 years old female British resident has been reported to be using Twitter. Quite shocking indeed, but this is a way to show that aged people can also make good use of their time instead of self pitying.
This 104 years old womanTwitter Mrs. Ivy Bean is shown in the papers as sitting by her laptop, smiling, with her logged in Twitter account showing her status and updates on the laptop’s display. This picture had reportedly been taken immediately after she started using the social networking website.
She is not any user; she is an enthusiastic tweeter who regularly updates her status whatever it may be. Her first tweet was sent out at 6:02 PM in the UK on 14th May. This tweet said, “I’m enjoying Twitter for the first time and having my photo taken”. This means that she almost got her photo taken as soon as she joined Twitter and posted her initial status updates.
Following posts were quite interesting like “Looking forward to Deal or No Deal later”, “just having a cuppa”, and “chicken casserole was lovely, going to have a nod now”. Her liveliness is a message to those people who get into self pity when they cross their seventies.
