Twitter one of the best social networking sites has now announced a very exciting change and that is they are buying a location tracker from Mixer labs that is founded by two former Google employees and that application has been named as the GeoAPI.
According to the chief Executive of Twitter Evan William this new facility will allow the twitter users to show people where they are when they post updates to the site. So this is very nice feature because now the location of user will be changed automatically when they move from one location to another.
According to the firm this application will allow users to search where an event is actually happening and this kind of a thing has been showed on the company’s blog where the statement says “We want to know what’s happening, and more precisely, where is it happening.
As a dramatic example, twittering ‘Earthquake!’ alone is not as informative as ‘Earthquake!’ coupled with your current location” this sounds very exciting and will more facility to the users. Twitter should make this purchase successful and bring this to their site as soon as possible because it will add up to the good attributes of twitter.
