The privacy has always being the major concern of the social networking platforms like Facebook and Twitter but unfortunately the privacy of both these sites has been reported to be quite weak from the past few months.  Now the latest action of both the companies towards the privacy issues is that they have gone stricter about their involvement with the third parties.

The biggest change in this regard was noticed from the Twitter’s side as the company has banned any kind of third party involvement with their site and thus has pushed all the advertisers to the promoted tweets service. In short form we can say that now only twitter will have the right to put paid tweets into a timeline thus the users have been banned from the most famous services of Ad.ly and Sponsored Tweets.

Coming towards Facebook, the company has recently announced that they are making it pretty easier for the users to block the third party developers from leaking out information regarding them. In a post on Washington post Marc Zukerberg said that “We will give you an easy way to turn off all third-party services. We are working hard to make these changes available as soon as possible…” So now this new approach of both these companies will make their platforms less profitable for the third parties whose major source of income was earlier only Facebook or Twitter.
