Laptops have become more of a necessity not only for business personnel and employees, but also for professional college students. Desktops are still more useful, but they lack the most important feature which is portability. Portability factor takes laptops a step ahead of the desktops. Toshiba has been manufacturing high end laptops for past many years, and has come up with yet another nice notebook with huge 16” display and Intel Core i3 processor. Before proceeding to detailed review and features’ explanation, let us look at the specs of Toshiba Satellite A665-S6050.

Features:

Though we were discussing portability factor, it is better not to travel too much with this 16-inches-display and heavy-battery laptop; only because you will get tired pretty quickly. The charcoal grey body resists finger prints and smudges as it has textured pattern. Display screen is surrounded by shiny black bezel and the keyboard has nicely placed shiny stand-alone keys.

Laptop feels brawny in your hands. The touchpad has matte finish and offers multi-touch functionality. If you are irritated by a lot of lights (surrounding touchpad, lighting the Satellite logo etc.) or just want to be a bit more eco-friendly, enable Toshiba’s Eco Mode. This won’t only turn off the extra lights but will also extend the battery life.

Speakers are a nice feature in this laptop. They produce loud and deep sounds, and you will thoroughly enjoy watching movies while sitting in front of it. Do not expect the speakers to fill up your entire room; these are Laptop Speakers, guys!

Intel Core i3 is a nice performer, indeed. Display of Toshiba Satellite A665 is nice, with glossy finish that pleasantly enhances the photos and videos. The Intel Wireless Display allows users to transmit audio and video to another monitor from the laptop, with the aid of an external adapter.
