All of us dream of driving a sports car; despite the fact that they are usually more than expensive. Sports cars are more of a fashion statement than conveyance means. The best thing which only few amongst us know is that not all sports cars are expensive. There are few models which are not very highly priced, so that they are not out of our reach. A list of top three affordable sports cars is as below:

1. 2009 Honda S2000:

Specs:

Engine: Gas I4 2.2L/132
Fuel: 18 City / 25 Hwy
Price: $34,995, $36,995, $37,995
Transmission: manual

Features:

Having a nice eye catching appearance, the S2000 has a great visceral power and track oriented handling. The main reason this car has been made for is racing. The power and speed it delivers is outstanding, and the way it handles this power is even more terrific. Though, it has been said that this car is not fit for daily use, because of the cramped cabin and stiff suspension. Critics also say that the old design must be changed now; but it seems impossible as Honda is planning to cease its production after 2009.

Product’s Unique Selling Points:

Advanced six-speed manual transmission
Awesome sports car performance
Track-tuned Club Racer trim available

Limitations:

Stiff ride isn’t comfortable for daily travel
Interior cabin is cramped and bare
Old-fashioned interior and exterior design

It is both thrilling as well as comfortable. This car holds a history in reliability factor. In the year 2000, it was listed in Guinness Book of World Records for being the best selling two-seat convertible in history.

Product’s Unique Selling Points:

Excellent sports handling
Available retractable hardtop
Eminent interior finishing
Remarkable reliability history

Price: $26,435, $27,860
Transmission: manual / auto

Features:

Despite its fuel hungry engine; this sports car has awesome handling dynamics, plus a spacious back seat. Outer look is beautiful and inspiring. The distinctive features include an exclusive suicide door design, extraordinary handling and voluminous back seat. Drawbacks include more fuel consuming engine and lack of torque. It has enough capacity for four passengers. The car’s rotating engine needs constant maintenance; a big hitch it is indeed.

Product’s Unique Selling Points:

Handling is quite fine
Rear doors are there to access back seats easily
Spacious back seat can afford two adults

Constant need of engine’s maintenance
Sluggish performance in low rpms
Bad fuel economy
Exiting back seat by rear doors is difficult

Well all these cars are Terrible “Sports Cars” but then again since the title goes “Affordable” i cant argue with you !! At times when everyone wants a corvette or Nissan GTR or Porsche’s, sometimes what you CAN get is much better Than dreaming of one of those and never experiencing the thrill of being behind the wheel of a sports car. That said, id have to go with the Mazda RX8 or the Honda S2000 simply because you can change and modify just about anything with these rides and produce crazy HP and 1/4 mile times. More info Over at my blog.
