Its winter now and the heavy snow have arrived at its maximum to cripple the land surfaces and there are lots of people who have been stricken inside their homes due to heavy snowfall. The bus and train services have been blocked and air ports are cancelling flights on a daily basis and travelling these days is horrible like anything. For those who are supposed to travel even in this harsh weather has to take some security precautions to avoid any bad incident as these days you can’t guarantee full safety through your journey as snow can stop you on your tracks any time. This article suggests some awesome tips which can be helpful in case of some unhappy incident.

   The first thing which I should suggest is to always have some extra clothes and blanket in your car. If you are going on a long journey than put on some extra clothes to keep yourself warm in this chilling season. It may happen that you get blocked in the middle of your passage due to heavy blockage of snow than these extra clothes and blanket will help you fighting against the cold.

2. Just like you your car also needs some extra attention for the winter season especially when you are living in a snowy climate. First of all try to use battery as much short as you can, battery are used at their maximum at the night time when heaters and head lights are used so try to avoid night travelling and take your car out for drive at day time to give alternator a chance to restore the battery to full health again
3. Anti freeze is very essential for these days so top up your car with 50 % water and use glycol based anti freeze for the other 50%. And this simple step will prevent your engine at about 35°C.
4. The tires of your car  also needs special attention in the snowy season as according to law tread depth of tires must be 1.6mm but it is suggested that for the snowy season the tread depth must be at least 3mm as the deeper the tread the more grip of tire. Other than this take care of proper wheel alignment of your car and the brakes of your car must be functioning perfectly rust free as they are very much needed to avoid accidents.
5. For the winter travelling arrange a special equipment bag for your car which should have some very important items like Spare mobile phone battery and charger, torch, blanket, first-aid kit, a warm coat and gloves, umbrella, food and water, shovel, a strong tow rope. These are some of the things which will be very helpful in case of accidents or some unhappy happenings.
6. For long travelling always try to select the route that are populated and try to follow major highways and always let your relatives and loved one’s know about the route on which you are travelling. Your mobile phone should be properly functioning so that in case of emergency you could inform your relatives and get help.

Winter travelling is not very easy it involves huge risks and uncertainties as the climate is itself uncertain you never know when the weather becomes harsh so protection from your side should be at its maximum. The above discussed should be followed if you have a routine of travelling in this season, these days many accidents are seen and the reason is most of time careless driving in snow so these protections and safety measurements are most required.
