The highly diversified world of web has always been an ocean of information from all over the world and it also gets the huge credits for connecting people worldwide but this advancement of technology also received a huge number of cyber crimes as well. Now the question arises, what actually are the Cyber crimes and what benefit those criminals gets from such scams?

Basically scamming is an activity of the internet criminals in which they attempt to stole the bank and credit card information of the people and then use that information to steal the money from the given banks. Nowadays understanding a fraud is quite a task as even the scammers display such sort of statements  ‘Beware of scams, trust someone who really cares for you’ and everyday lots of people get trapped by these criminals.

The exciting global marketplace that we simply call as internet gives us so much comfort in buying and investing our money by just few clicks that everyone has shifted to the online mode of money handling and this thing has also made internet as a paradise for the scammers. So nowadays more and more awareness is required among the people who are using the internet otherwise they may face some really drastic loss.

  • Economic stimulus scam

These are the most interesting and dangerous scam that mostly offers government stimulus money and mostly the trick which is involved uses a recorded telephone message from some high official like President Obama and in that message the visitors are instructed to follow certain procedures that actually takes them down into the hell of scamming. Mostly such sites trap people by asking their personal and financial information.

  • JOB Scams

This should be called as the most famous of all scams, the fake job ads takes the great advantage of the unemployment that is the chief weaknesses of many countries. The jobs showed upon such sites appear to be so lavishing that the people can’t stop themselves applying for them and finally they get trapped and loses the money which they earlier owns. Some other scams that are also common in this category includes the exciting deal for some technical tool which the users requests to buy but those request never gets fulfilled only the money flies away from their bank account.

  • Anti Virus Scams

Having lots of viruses on the system is also the problem of the internet users and the scammers also gets advantages from such weaknesses of people and give offers of some Anti-Virus software whose capabilities are stated to be just out of this world and from those honey pots the people easily gets attracted as the scammers know that everyone would surely love to have such system on their PC.

  • Hitman Scam

This is another scam that traps many innocent people along the world, as no innocent individual want to be get involved in the underworld gang wars and these scammers take advantage of this thing.  Actually in this scam the victim gets an email from the scammers in which it is claimed that the victim or any other member of his family has been targeted for an allege offense against a gang. The victims are told to pay some amount of money via western union or money grams and many people get trapped in this game.

Though the scams are increasing at very high rate still if people show a little awareness of those criminals and try to protect their self from them then the scammers can get defeated. Let me show you some tips for protecting yourself against these scammers.

  • If you are interested in doing some kind of business online then always work with those financial institutions and merchants that you know and trust.
  • If you are working with some company or firm then for the sake of checking their authenticity check their details from the banking institutions and find out if they are licensed or not.
  • Never make an investment just on the basis of a chat or some tips that you have seen on some online source.
  • You should have to be skeptical towards the offers that really seem very attractive from the first look.
  • Avoid those websites that that don’t allow you the opportunity to print or save any provided data that are confirming your transaction.
  • Be very cautious about the free trials of some software as they may attract you first and then trap you while asking for your credit car5ds and banking details.
