The latest version of the PS3 is on a cut down cost. It will be costing $300 and then go on sale from August 24th. This is going to come with a new bundle with Sony. The news will be shared through T3.com and so for the biggest splashes from GamesCom will be released through there.
Kmart and Sears are already looking forward to the new release very strongly. They have even put up pre-order forms in their website. However the announcement in its official notice of the release has not yet come to GamesCom. In the latest version of PS3 there will be Blu-ray player as well as a 120 GB hard disk. There is going to be DualShock3 controller as well as HDMI option. The output support is expected to be about 1080p.
The price is going to be standard with $2999.99. This reduced price is going to be a big deal overall. The UK price is thus £182. Knowing Sony however they are bound to bring about their own patented foreign conversion rate with the new price ranges. Currently if the 80GB PS3 is to sell at $399.99 then this will be sold at UK at £299.99.
