Samsung has just uncovered its first handset with Android dubbed as the I7500 which is the first Android-powered handset after HTC’s GI that was launched a year back. Aside from Google goodies of the Android, it houses a 3.2-inch OLED touchscreen WiFi and 7.2Mbps connectivity.

The new handset will support different multimedia codec formats, and it features a 5mp camera and GPS integrated receiver. The device is just 11.9mm thick and houses 8GB internal memory that can be expanded up to 40GB with 32GB microSd memory card.

Is hardware according to the software? Only time will tell as it’s going to hit the shelves in almost the major European countries in June this year.

People have been waiting for Samsung first Android phone for quite some time and various rumors were there time by time, but just few hours back it has flushed through all these rumors.

With the launch of the I7500, Samsung has become one of those top three companies that have launched their Android-powered handsets.

When it comes to Android Google goodies, the I7500 will allow users to make out of the most of Google services that include Gmail, Google Maps, Google Search, YouTube, Google Talk for instant messaging and Google Calendar. Different Google Maps features like Street View, My Location, Google Latitude can be used comprehensively with its integrated GPS receiver. A wide array of Android applications has also been made available in Android Market that includes applications Wikitude and Wikipedia.
