The iPhone 4 is no doubt one of the biggest developments for the 4th generation of mobile phone but this thing was really unfortunate that just from the start of its career it received so many complaints related to its reception problem. In the last week Apple announced that they are going to address this problem in a press conference to be held on Friday, in the conference the company claimed that it is the not the first mobile of the world that is coming with this problem.
Apart from Apple, Nokia is a major developer that brings mobile phones with internal antenna, in the response to Apple’s claim Nokia came out quite defensive and in a statement it was said that “As we’ve all seen, Apple had mentioned Nokia in their press conference today regarding the iPhone 4”.
Further this statement came from Nokia’s side that “Antenna design is a complex subject and has been a core competence at Nokia for decades, across hundreds of phone models. Nokia was the pioneer in internal antennas; the Nokia 8810, launched in 1998, was the first commercial phone with this feature”.
This claim by Apple has also hit the HTC and from their side this statement came that “We have had very few complaints about signal or antenna problems on the Eris”. Thus a single statement by Apple has made all the other antenna mobile developers quite defensive for their devices and they all have tried to prove Apple wrong that other phones in the market are also having antenna problem.
