The highly awaited Android 2.2 for different Android phones is nowadays getting different news; some platforms have announced it for their phones while the others have delayed their plans. Orange is one of those platforms which is making its users to wait some more for the Android 2.2, the company has recently announced on Twitter that the Android 2.2 lovers have to wait longer to get this update on their HTC Desire handsets.

The statement which came from company’s side says that “Android fans: there has been a delay in receiving the 2.2 Froyo update from HTC, and we now expect it to be available mid-September. Apologies”.  The wait may be of some more weeks but it’s really disappointing one because the Android 2.2 is something for which the Android users are desperately waiting.

The other brands like Vodafone has brought the Foryo update available on their handsets so Orange is lagging behind the other in this regard. The status of the company can also get a bit more better if they tell their customer the fix date for the release of Android 2.2 but they are quite in this regard, which is not good.
