Teen Trend: Sony and Nokia Win

Gaming consoles, MP3 and MP4 players, mobile phones; who is the basic target? Of course, teens amount to a major proportion of consumers of such products. Therefore, it is very necessary to know which brand is their favorite. The Global Habbo Youth Survey has tried to observe the attitude of teens towards gadgets and their manufacturers, along with their preferences. It has tried to assess the teen-approach towards top brands like Sony, Nokia, Apple, etc.
112,000 teens belonging to over 30 countries were included in the survey, aging 11-19. It was observed that Sony was much admired by the youth than any other brand. In consumer electronic goods, Sony took the lead with Apple on rank two, followed by Nintendo, Samsung and HP.
Though PS3 is much adored worldwide, Sony is loosening its grip on the console world. Wii took the lead; girls preferred Wii whereas boys sided with Xbox 360. When it came to mobile phone brands, nothing could affect the love for Nokia, though the mobile giant is loosening its grip exactly the way Sony is. Nokia was followed by Sony Ericsson, Samsung, LG and Apple. Motorola lost its position form rank 3 (last year) to “nowhere”.
