Released in December 2008, Nokia E63 was eventually celebrated as a “Plastic Substitute” of the all metallic predecessor E71. Basically, this phone is built on the design lines of E71, as this fact is evident by looking at it. Available in beautiful and eye-catching colors, this is a glamorous mobile phone apart from the features and specs.

Specs:

Price: $149.99 – $279.99 (subject to variation according to time and location)

Features:

This candy bar phone set is all clad in plastic. It is a thicker plastic version of E71. Apart from the love of metal finish, plastic is prone to much lesser smudges and fingerprints. Even the dimensions are almost same. It will obviously fit into one’s pocket quite snugly. The backside is finished in non-slippery material. The display is 2.36-inch QVGA (320×240 pixels), and is vivid and bright. Brightness is automatically adjusted according to the surroundings.

There are two modes available, Business and Personal. Business mode gives direct access to work tools like e-mail, the Web, and the file manager; whereas the other mode leads to personal data like multimedia library, the Web, and messages.

The full QWERTY keyboard is nice to type with, and adds a key in the bottom row that results in a shortened spacebar. The flashlight can very well be used as a torch. Long battery life, spacious keyboard, and touch sensitive Navi-Wheel is all that make this pretty phone adorable.

Product’s Unique Selling Points:

Integrated Wi-Fi

Full QWERTY keyboard

Full email capabilities

3G support

Limitations:

No GPS

No side mounted volume rocker

Call and Camera quality is not great

Final Words:

Much affordable than the metallic E71; E63 offers full functionality and alluring design to the consumers. This is a good pick if you care about the looks and colors with important packed features.

Though this exceptionally efficient light loving ambient technology hasn’t undergone Pleasntville epiphany, it has succeeded to find its way to V112 of Investec on its 1.1” mirasol bichrome touchscreen.

It doesn’t end here as the bigger brother will also be let loose with many more colors. You will be able to know about time, missed calls; incoming calls SMS and email alerts information about MP3 songs and many other such things as don’t require enough space.

When it comes to other feature of the phone, it will be available with WiFi, GPS, a 3Mp camera and Bluetooth. No details about the pricing and availability of the phone.

Furthermore, Inventec also reaches an agreement with LG to add the mirasol in its handsets as secondary screens in the coming days. Though apparently a great, what if some more details to be given how those phones will look like?

This reduced 10.2-inch gadget (with 1024 x 600 resolution) is bound to have a 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU, 1GB of RAM and a 160GB hard disk, with a 3-cell battery, WiFi, and three USB ports. Archos throws in 40 pounds worth of movies from the Archos Media Club. Oh, it runs Windows XP, though no pricing yet has been announced. All these features are meagure but overall the impression is cool.

The Archos 10 netbook, is a rebranding of the earlier Hasee Mj125 but as Archos has an image of high quality tech maker, they are expected to ensure that 10 be a quality product like earlier Archos PMPs.

Archos is FAMOUS for portable media players and internet media tablets. But as the company has jumped into the netbook race now, with the Archos 10, announced at CES 2009, many keen eyes have started observing its moves . Other specs of note include a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom processor, 1 GB of DDR memory, a 160 GB hard disk drive, Windows XP operating system, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, a webcam and likely useless 3-cell battery. The Archos 10 does have a perfectly reasonable 3 USB ports though, but sorry, no GPS.
