The main purposes of this player are of storing high-definition video, PlayStation 3 video games and other data. Many electronics companies have started building Blu-ray-disc player for providing more entertainment to the customers. During the format war over high-definition optical discs the Blu-ray competed with the HD DVD format. These players are very common to read the discs because of their laser ray usage to read the discs which is both efficient and fast.

Features:

Decently rather simply designed Yari is a slider phone with simple conventional looks. On top if the display screen, there are two small knobs that actually are gaming keys. The 2.4″ 262K display screen shows nice picture and does not disappoint. The navigation or D-pad is designed quite nicely. Sliding the phone reveals a flat alpha numeric keypad creates much fuss while messaging.

Credit: letsgodigital.org

Picasa, Flickr and Blogger are nice to see in the handset. Photomap shows geo-tagged images on the map, and the whole process is integrated into the photo gallery. Quick text (a sibling of T9) helps while typing by recognizing frequently used words.

Yari isn’t a Walkman Phone, yet it comes with the latest Walkman Payer. 5 MP camera is another nice feature in addition to a video-calling camera. Google Maps and Wayfinder Navigator are on board. Netfront 3.5 experience is nothing less than awesome. Gesture based gaming is founded on an optical tracker technology developed by GestureTek. Unfortunately, there seems that SE forgot to integrate Wi-Fi into Yari.

Pros:

3G technology

Nice design

Motion based gaming

5MP camera

Latest Netfront browser

Latest Walkman Player

Cons:

No Wi-Fi

Typo-oriented keypad

No 3.5 mm jack

Final Words:

This is a nice phone with great features and full functionality. We all will have to wait until SE decides a date to launch the pretty slider.

IPhone 3GS is not going to slide into your hands without the tangles of a network; O2 has kept the exclusivity with it. The company was to announce the tariffs and rates on this Wednesday, but it made the fees public sooner than decided.

Credit: apple

The new iPhone 3GS is going to be available for purchase from 19th of this month. Given that you choose the cheapest and most affordable rates, the 16 GB version of the iPhone 3GS will cost you a £184.98, whereas the bigger 32 GB version is going to pull £274.23 out of you pocket. Remember! These are the cheapest rates!

Every iPhone holder was quite happy with the Software Update 3.0, as well as those who were planning to get an iPhone. Regarding MMS and tethering facilities; you will have to pay extra for these services. If you want to hook the iPhone with your PC to make it act as a 3G modem, then get prepared for “limited” downloading tariffs. The Internet Tethering Bolt On will cost £14.68 a month for 3GB of data and £29.36 for 10GB of data. Both packages will include The Cloud Wi-Fi services. As far as MMS is concerned, one will cost you the amount equal to 4 text messages. Existing O2 customers are allowed to upgrade, too.

Well, it appears to be a lot more polished than ever before, but it has been designed just like their previous the N810. No name has been given to it, but internally it’s being referred as Rover, Maemo Flagship and the N900. Well, here m going to refer it as the N900 in this post, but it is possible that it may not get the same name.

When it comes to style, you will find the N900 quite similar to the Nokia N97, but it houses a 3.5” touchscreen with a slide out QWERTY keyboard and many other similar features. But you would definitely find some difference, as its screen doesn’t tilt up and it has considerably higher resolution. Another change that you will notice is missing of the navi-keys, as they have not been featured that are available in the N97.

Features and specs

It has 59.7×111x18.2mm measurement with 180g of weight

The given 3.5” (WVGA) touchscreen is of 800×480 resolution

It features a 5mp camera with autofocus, dual flash slide cover

The processor is of OMAP3430 500/600 Mhz

It has 32 GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 48GB with external memory.

English, French, Italian, Russian, Scandinavian variants of the keyboards

HSDPA, Wi-Fi

Things packed in the box include headset, battery, connectivity capable, microUSB adaptor, Video-out cable and cleaning cloth.

Software features:

The device is going to run on Maemo 5 that will allow you to run your all favorite apps simultaneously

You can open tasks as well as view unread messages with its Live Dashboard

It has Firefox 3 web browser with Flash 9.4 support.

It supports VoIP as well as cellular voice

You can access IMs and SMS from one view

There is built-in automatic software update

Support for image tagging and geo-tagging

Well, viewing all that specs and features, you will definitely be drooling and if not you must visit your doctor to have a check for your salivary glands. Many seem worry about its availability, but you need not to be worried anymore as we have also got some of its details and it’s expected to be hitting the shelves in many parts of the world within next two to three months. However, according to some other sources, the device will have to see some more delays for its launch.

Well, these are the details that we have gathered out that Nokia coming tablet so far, but considering your anticipation, we will provide you some more details ahead so stay tuned.

Today, we will talk about a netbook instead of notebooks. Samsung N110 has taken after its predecessor the Samsung NC10.

Features:

There are some controversies regarding this netbook. Though it manages a 6 cell battery with light weight and slim built, and fixes the previous too small touchpad, it is still quite expensive at around $500 because the processor is none other than Intel Atom, RAM 1 GB and HDD 160 GB. There are many other mini laptops that provide the same features but are priced under $400, like Lenovo S10.

Credit: hardwaresphere

Clad in glossy black color and having a matte black interior, this netbook has a lid which is prone to smudges, smears and finger prints. The person would be a hero who could keep this netbook look clean for a whole day.

Keyboard consists of individual keys that are broader on the bottom and narrower on the top. There is a big Shift key on the right, and the touchpad is also bigger than the one in Samsung NC10. a scroll zone has also been defined on the right side vertically.

Screen has a display size of 10.1; quite okay but creates difficulty while reading documents or vertically long pages. Also, the glossy display is not s nice idea. Intel Atom performs well while multitasking. Running for almost 6 hours while constantly playing videos; is nothing less than wonderful battery life.

Product’s Unique Selling Points:

Nice keyboard and touchpad

Excellent battery life

Fantastic software suite

Limitations:

Glossy display

Price

Final Words:

With fine features like webcam, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth etc and nice keyboard and touch pad; Samsung N110 is priced very high, and this is a drawback. On the other hand, this is really nice netbook with awesome battery life. Excellent battery life and ultra portability are the two things one needs form a netbook; N110 offers both.

Color choices

Price: $753.00 (subject to variation according to time and location)

Features:

Let us talk about the design. It weighs a little more than an ordinary netbook. This extra weight is due to the stiffened plastic (polycarbonate/acrylonitrile butadiene styrene or PC ABS) and rubberized panels (which use a material called elastomer) that have been used in this laptop. This has been done in order to make it safe for kids’ handling, as the netbook has especially been designed for school kids. It is available in a number of beautiful and bright colors that will definitely draw kids’ attention.

This is the first ever netbook that offers Touchscreen. This is an optional feature though. Screen is LED backlit and is quite bright with 10.1” size. Native resolution is pretty low with 1024×576, plus the vertical viewing angles are narrow. From a classroom perspective, this is an ideal size that does not covers much space neither is it too small for a kid.

To ensure that the kids are giving full attention to their lecture, dell has introduced a smart attribute. If a kid tries to go online during a lecture, the teacher will immediately know. How? There is a strip light in the top center of the netbook lid, which is in fact an indicator, that the kid has begun a network activity. But there is another critical issue; there isn’t an indicator to show that the kid is entering prohibited areas of internet where a kid MUST not enter. According to parents, such an indicator is needed to keep a check on the kids’ online activities. Dell is planning to make a whole system of indicating lights to show what the kid is doing; perhaps this advancement will solidify later.

For kids’ safety and hygiene, the keyboard is antimicrobial, so the fear of transferring germs ends. Screen is easy to clean, as kids will make a mess with their fingers and hands on it.

Other features are of a typical netbook including Intel Atom processor, 1.5 GB memory, webcam, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and much more.

Product’s Unique Selling Point:

Competitive price

Touchscreen

Rubberized and rugged chassis

Long battery

Comfortable keyboard

Antimicrobial keyboard

Limitations:

802.11n wireless networking is not standard

Touchscreen not sensitive at extreme edges

No on-screen volume indicator

Final Words:

In short, this is a nice netbook that has been especially created for kids to use in school. We hope that the features that are missing (like indication when child go beyond limits) will soon be included.

In Short: Every now and then we find something touted as iPhone slyer, but most of them often seem coming up short and prove quite little in front of the current king of ring. However, some can really give iPhone tough times and HTC Magic is one of them. With a sleek, smooth and simple design, it features a 3.0mp camera, GPS, Qualcomm CPU, HSDPA, GPS and Wi-Fi.

The first Android-powered GI was quite nagging as well as boring for many, as it missed features like stereo Bluetooth, camera without video recording and the most perplexing thing was its design. Though you would find the same 3.2” display, yet some new tricks have been introduced that makes the magic quite appealing and a real white magic for those who want better functionality in their cell phones with sleek design and impressive look.

The Good

Exceptional touchscreen

Large number of free apps

Impressive design

The Bad

Limited storage for apps

Not so up to the mark battery life

No 3.5mm headphone jack

The Usual:

Design

The thing that grabs your attention in the very first look and feel is its lightness in weight and thinness in structure and no availability of QWERTY keyboard has played an important role to get that thinness and sleekness in looks that make the Magic really mesmerizing. You may have heard a lot about black magic, but white magic also exists and if you want to look in concrete form, the HTC Magic is a real thing for you, as it’s not less than a true white magic. The nicest thing unlike many other present day smartphones, you can keep it easily in your pocket the whole day long without notice and you would find it a small tub of lard that makes your pocket hang all the time.

Specs and Features

It weighs 118.5g with 117.7×55x13.7mm dimensions

2G and 3G network for GSM and HSDPA.

3.2-inches TFT display with 320×480 pixels

MP3, downloadable polyphonic WAV ringtones

Speakerphone

MicroSD card slot

512 MB ROM and 192 MB RAM

GPRS data

Bluetooth

No infrared port

miniUSB

Video calling

Android Operating System

HTML browser

SMS, Email, MMS, and IM for messaging

Document viewer

Voice memo

MP3 player

The available Android browser has been built on a Webkit that makes things

Credit: techradar

quite easier to slide around the page in an easy and nice way. The same tightness of Google’s app integration can be felt as in the G1. But StreetView addition in the function of the apps seems to work nicely.

It is easy to access and use Android Market, but it has to be even further easier to fight well against the Apple App Store that has been serving as a cash cow for Apple for quite some time and considering the very success of Apple App Store, now some other players are looking for developing their own such app stores.

The thing that makes HTC Magic somewhat inferior is the lack of QWERTY keyboard, but its impressive touchscreen seems to compensate the missing of the QWERTY keyboard.

Unique Selling Points

Impressive sleek design and light weight

Nice touchscreen

Lots of free apps

The most prominent feature is its 3.6” OLED Touchscreen. This is pretty much similar to the iPhone and iPod Touch’s latest upcoming models. This is why, it seems that Microsoft has just stolen the idea of its competing brand.

Other main features include a Camera, 3D Xbox support, plus few elements of Windows 7. Also, there will be NVIDIA Tegra, HDMI Connection to stream straight to users’ TV, HD Radio, web browser, and Wi-Fi compatibility. These specs make it seem more like a mobile phone than a media player.

It is going to be available in 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB versions; one would be able to choose according to their needs. It is being said that Zune HD will be released this fall. That will be an international release.

Though, this is much like a cell phone, but it is not highly probable that Microsoft transforms its acclaimed media player into a mobile phone. To see what the exact specs are and what is Microsoft going to come up with in actuality; we all will have to wait till the early fall of this year. Let us cross our fingers for the impending glamorous media player by Microsoft.

With more advanced features packed into them, people opt for them instead of going for separate media players and FM radios etc. The Nintendo DSi is one of the most wanted gaming consoles in UK these days. Reports have shown that the gaming tool has made a great 92,000 sales within one week of its launch. These figures were provided by GfK-ChartTrack.

This makes DSi the fourth biggest launched console in UK history, after PS3, PSP and Wii. This is certainly great news for Nintendo, as the figures show quite a welcoming behavior of consumers, in UK. Also, it will enable Nintendo to put more confidence into its decision regarding building an online gaming store for DSi; the DSi shop. In addition to the running games, DSi holders can download more applications and games from Dsi store vie Wi-Fi.

Nintendo has always showed wonderful sales figures, keeping in mind over 100 million DS units sales since its launch, and 1.28 million units’ sales of DSi only in Japan since its launch. GfK-ChartTrack UK director Dorian Bloch added his comments by saying; “I would expect this launch to very much stimulate the DS software market.” We hope so. Good going Nintendo!
