Android 2.1 runs the phone but unfortunately, we haven’t heard about an upgrade yet. The phone is undoubtedly best for you if you need to have a projector every now and then. Otherwise, its performance as smartphone isn’t enviable at all. Visual Presenter will let you project anything that you see; a document in front of you, a product under discussion or anything at all. Just place the object under the phone and hold the latter above it; that object will be projected on the screen or wall in front of you. You can also use the projector feature as a torch (in four colors). Also, the speakers are good enough to suffice a projection in a small meeting. Wi-Fi is there, 3G is there, and even an 8 MP camera capable of HD video recording is present. This is a real nice phone considering the projector feature which is certainly not found anywhere else.

10. BlackBerry Curve 8520:

You must be surprised to see a non-touchscreen smartphone amidst the whole long list of touch sensitive huge displays! It is only because of the performance level and ease of usage this phone offers. We get Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, full QWERTY keyboard, a responsive optical trackpad and a 512 MHz processing unit. A 2 MP camera works pretty well and gives nice picture results. On the downside, there is no GPS or 3G. it looks nice and works well, this is all about BlackBerry Curve 8520.

11. Samsung Galaxy S:

Samsung Galaxy S is one the finest Android-run handhelds in the market. Though it looks like an iPhone, it is certainly not one!! The crisp 4.0 inches Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display works great with the TouchWiz 3.0 UI and its home screens. On the whole, this fully tech loaded smartphone has everything that can be dreamed of, except for the plastic feel.

12. Motorola Milestone XT720:

Beautifully designed, Motorola Milestone XT720 is a hit indeed. The phone features 3.7” TFT capacitive touchscreen with Gorilla Glass, multi touch, accelerometer, proximity sensor and touch sensitive navigation controls. The 720 MHz ARM Cortex A8 processing unit runs on Android 2.1 and works quite nicely, though at moments you might get annoyed because of the occasional sluggish performance. It boasts an 8 MP camera with Xenon flash which has the capability of capturing HD video. Beware of the price factor before making your mind to buy the smartphone.

13. HTC Legend:

It seems as if every brand is running after Android to power their handhelds. HTC Legend was released in March 2010, as an upgrade to the HTC Hero. Anyhow, we know that inexpensiveness comes with some major compromises; and some have certainly been made here. Slow response and low resolution display are two big compromises indeed. The latter won’t let you enjoy the photos and videos as well as web pages to their best. Is it s phone? Is it a tablet? No one has been able to decide it yet, so let us not enter the debate and instead be happy about the wonderful invention. Dell Streak is a personal favorite with its huge 5” LCD capacitive touchscreen coated with Gorilla Glass. The 5 MP camera gives ample functionality for your photography needs and the secondary VGA one suffices your video conferencing issues. It is packed with great tech features, but the Android 1.6 is certainly not what we were expecting. We will have to wait till it gets upgraded and updated with latest versions of the OS.

20. Samsung Galaxy Europa GT-i5500:

This is comparatively smaller smartphone as compared to the other phones included in our list, with 2.8” touchscreen having a low resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. You can well understand that it would be better not to expect great photo, video and web browsing experience from the Galaxy Europa. The 2 MP camera is also not noteworthy at all, as this is a feature available on every other mobile handset we see in the market. Wi-Fi, 3G and Bluetooth help it stand with pride, but no Flash and multi touch support are enough to wobble its feet. Overall, it is a nice phone with touchscreen, Android OS, camera, Wi-Fi, 3G and SWYPE texting.
