Now let’s have a glimpse of Features of HP Touchpad:

HP webOS: The web operating system is really an impressive feature. At the touch of your fingers things just happen; either it is multitasking between writing email or update your social network sites or just changing on to the next song, browsing through search engines, you just can get going without a break and it seems effortless, just by one touch.

Entertainment: Are u a tech savvy gamer? Then there’s all the action for you. Gaming hasn’t been as good onother Tablets as that on this Touchpad. Music creates magic andwhat’s better than listening to music of your choice with the amazing Beats Audio. Entertainment isat its best with good results for gaming and playback.

Display: With its 9.7” display with LED backlightHP Touchpad is very much soothing for the eye and in sync with the display function of other tablet pc or iPad.Cleaning is much easier because of its special coating and hence abrasion can be minimized.

Camera: Video calling can be easily enabled with this integrated webcam and digital microphonesset up.

Size & weight:HP Touchpad measures 9.45″ wide by 7.48″ high by 0.54″ deep andweighs almost1.6pounds. Size does matter since it is not a mobile and not a laptop either we can’t say it’s small but definitely not large as well. It can be well managed on your palm and satisfies the basic feature of being a Palmtop.

Processor: With its 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon dual-core APQ8060 processorwe can say we have a super brain working for us which can multitask anything the user desires. Isn’t that wonderful!

Graphics:With Qualcomm Adreno 220 core graphics capability everything just looks bigger and better and hence gives an awesome visual effect.

Communications and wireless support: Combo pack of Wi-Fi connectivity and Bluetooth technology has turned communication pretty easier and now at your ease; you can be in touch with your dear ones being just be anywhere and everywhere. You can move and the Touchpad moves along with you. Wireless support seems to be a real blessing here.

Power and Battery life: It does come with a 10W A/C externaladapter or else with its two cell rechargeable battery it can give a backup of more than 8 hours. What more can we ask for!

Super Sensors:HP Touchpadknows your every move and adjusts the screen. You don’t need make any adjustment the touchpad accelerometer does it all. Smart Enough!

Wireless print: This feature seems to be a real wonder as you can take a print of anything from your Touch pad with its wireless printer facility which is enabled on HP printers through Wi-Fi or any internet connection

Cherry on the top: We get the free90-day HP webs Butler service to assist us and help us get used to and organize , manage accordingly with its 90-day Toll-Free Setup Assistance and 24×7 Free On-device and Desktop Chat Support subject to change without notice. Sounds dazzling and a real cherry on the top! Isn’t?

Additional HP touchstone charging dock: For an uninterrupted activity this charging dock helps recharge the touch pad with ease .Can be purchased separately.

In spite of all this the overall review is not that satisfactory.Competition and rivalry do give way to better inventions but better need not always is the best. Though the HP Touchpad with its impressive webOS did try or rather attempt to make a revolution in the technology world and be a better pick than the iPad, it has not lived up to the mark and desire of many consumer requirements because of its failure for embedding moreapplications and other features which are missing. But that again leaves us with one hope that this is not the end of technology,we are positive enough and always waiting for new to happen so let’s look forward for many more wonders in the world of technology.

Envy 14 has beautiful design and patterns on the lid as well as on the wrist rest area. It is available in gunmetal grey colour yet, and the pattern goes nicely with this hue. You might find it a bit heavy to carry, but enjoying the solid metal built is worth it. Best part is the price factor; Envy 14 has a very reasonable starting price of $999.99. This price brings some very nice specs with it, too.

Envy’s keyboard is backlit, something I would love to see on every notebook. It gives you the freedom of typing flawlessly while sitting in a dark room or a dark corner of a room. The keys are widely spaced, flat topped and island-kind; protruding out of a low platform. Touchpad has multi touch functionality (a bit shabby, though) and is placed right in the middle under the keyboard. It is a large touchpad and has ample space for easy scrolling.

The 14.5 inches LED display is certainly something you will love. It is neither too small nor too big; just the perfect size for gaming and watching movies. Equally great is the audio feature of HP Envy 14; the company has included Beats Audio that offers you great sound quality and minor details.

You must not face difficulty while playing games on this laptop, as the graphics are pretty good. I will certainly not advise you to go for high end gaming with Envy 14; but I am sure it will suffice your basic gaming needs. The ATI graphics card can be switched off in order to activate the Intel HD graphics whenever you need. This helps lower battery consumption.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet LAN, an HDMI port, a mini display port, 2 USB ports, 1 USB+eSATA port and a 2 in 1 digital media card reader. An HD webcam is also present for your video chatting needs; it has the ability to adjust itself to whatever light settings you are present under.

Software that have been pre-included in Envy 4 are Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 and Adobe Premiere Elements 8. You can choose from different packages of Microsoft Office. The overall performance of Envy 14 is nothing less than good. It has a nice battery backup time.

One thing that is going to bother you is that whenever you will try to increase, decrease or mute the volume via function keys, the volume setting box shows up on the screen. It will happen even if you are playing a game or watching a movie; thus depriving you off the full screen immediately. This is quite a frustrating experience.

Product’s Unique Selling Points:

Beautifully designed

Strong built

Metal chassis

Variety of customizable specs to choose from

Nicely priced

Fair battery backup time

Good performance

Backlit keyboard

Limitations:

A bit heavy for its display size

Switchable graphics feature is not smooth

Volume settings hinder with full screen gaming and video watching

HP’s Windows 7

The Apple iPad is ruling the IT industry from the time of its official release but one of the oldest rivals of Apple, HP has also not left Apple alone in this category of tablet PCs. Some months ago HP released a video in which its tablet called the slate was showed to the whole world and that slate has been reported to be coming with the Window’s 7 platform.

Up till now the company is quite silent about the release of slate that is also named as Expo PC but some official and unofficial statements says this tablet is slated for a September 7 launch date in US, Canada and France.

The price details provided says that 32GB version will come at a price of $599, the screen size would be 11.6 inches and along with that it will be powered by atom N450 processor. These and some other details of the coming Expo PC thus shows that HP will really bring a tough competitor for iPad in the coming days and it can be expected that after the release it beats the records of the most famous iPad by Apple.

Hp Acquiring Palm

Palm one of the most struggling mobile phone makers of the international markets now comes the acquisition of HP which is taking deep interest towards the mobile development nowadays. This News has been flashed on the official blog of both these companies that an agreement has been passed between both these companies and according to it HP is going to buy Palm for $1.2 billion. It is strongly believed that the combination of both these platforms will bring some new and exciting competition in the Smartphone industry and in future we can get highly innovative Smartphones coming from HP’s side.

Todd Bradley, executive vice president of Personal Systems Group of HP while discussing about this issue stated that “Palm’s innovative operating system provides an ideal platform to expand HP’s mobility strategy and create a unique HP experience spanning multiple mobile connected devices”. We have seen that Palm had been into some bad times in the past and still the company has not came as the highly advanced one and it needs a buyer, and for HP Palm WebOs is one of the most exciting operating systems that can earn a lot of fame.

The Palm CEO Jon Rubinstein also shows his pleasure in a statement “We’re thrilled by HP’s vote of confidence in Palm’s technological leadership, which delivered Palm WebOS and iconic products such as the Palm Pre”. Thus it can be undoubtedly said that both the companies are going to have a great future because of the collaboration each is providing to the other.

HP one of the biggest IT companies of world is now planning for something new for its products, the company has recently showed up their plans of refreshing the lineup of integrity servers and it is reported to be a great step for the customers using systems as well as for the Intel Itanium processor. The exact official reveal of all these plans of the company will be showed up on Tuesday next week when HP is expected to hold a press conference. A hint for that conference provided by PCworld says that the recently launched Intel’s quad-core “Tukwila” processors will allow the company to update its integrity servers with some more modernized one.

While analyzing the expected update of HP it can be clearly seen that the company has only brought a significant change of speed and the new comers are faster than the earlier ones, other than this the overall systems are almost same. It can be seen that one of the major sellers of Itanium based servers is HP and once this update will be launched for those servers the future of those chip will get some more brighten. While discussing about these plans of HP Jim McGregor, chief technology strategist with In-Stat said that “It’s definitely a huge launch for Itanium”. There are many such hints provided by HP engineers as well as news media and from all these we can expect that HP is going for the full modernization of the conventional monolithic servers and we can expect the good future of these products because of Hp’s progress.
