The unlucky Suzuki, Mazda, Saab and Hummer got the lowest residue scores from consumers.Toyota, Honda and Ford ranked the top most brands in consumers’ perceptions according to an annual.

The survey which involved random questioning of almost 1,700 American adults placed Toyota at the top and Honda at the second notch in consumers’ opinion regarding quality and environment friendliness. On the other hand, Honda clinched top slot considering value, with Toyota being second.

Ford, Cadillac and Mercedes-Benz were overall the remaining top five logos. Mercedes managed to stay in the top five for design while Cadillac for its technical excellence. Both the autos remained in top five for quality.

Consumers give most attention to safety, design, prestige and marketing of these brands, said deputy online automotive editor Consumer Reports Jeff Bartlett. Quality, value, performance, environmental friendliness, design and technology followed safety in importance for consumers while deciding to pick a car to buy.

Jeff said the whole thing is a robust first impression made by Honda and Toyota on the buyers and the media that the other cars fail to make. A lot of positive road test results of these vehicles are behind the rating whether they hold up in the long run or not. Volvo leads the category of top safety, with 71 percent holding it the safest brand.

The current Economic recession is also behind the delayed purchase decisions and to place less emphasis on looks which used to be crucial factors in study results two-years back and more on performance, Bartlett said.

January 2007 saw GMC becoming the second largest division in terms of selling light vehicles after Chevrolet.

Gmc.com marks the online presence of GMC. It has been designed mainly for people, who wish to know more about the company, in-depth details of their latest products and receive help on the products that they currently own.
With an impressive professional appearance and a blend of black, red & different shades of grey, gmc.com has been formulated keeping in mind the recent trend in web technology.
With Sierra, Canyon, Acadia, Yukon, Envoy, Savana and all their Hybrid & Denali Lines as the available models, price ranging from $14,000 to $55,000 and mileage available between 19 mpg to 24 mpg, you have a huge number of options to choose from at GMC. Acadia, Sierra 1500, Envoy Denali, Yukon XL, Sierra Denali, Yukon Denali and Savana Passenger are amongst the popular models released by the company, thus far.

Features, which include Fuel Economy, body style, base MSRP, seating capacity, towing capacity and cargo capacity, have been segregated in such a manner that you can get your desired model in the form you wish at the click of a button. Again, you can build your own vehicle, with the features you crave for, and know how much it will cost prior to visiting your nearby dealer.

Wait, there’s more! GMC has lowered the rates of its popular models. 2008 GMC Sierra Ext & Crew Cabs and all models of 2008 GMC Yukon are available with attractive cash bonuses for qualified customers. The new model has remarkable changes in design, size and features. As it is said, ‘everything has a price’, but this thing has its price on the higher side. The beauty is priced $30,625 (for manual), shipping charges added.

This model comes in two versions, base, and Touring models. The price of base Touring model is $35,155, and for automatic $36,455. The Touring model has been designed with professional delicacy. The overall length has been shortened whereas the wheel base has been increased in length. The overall width has been increased by 1.3 inches. The height has also been reduced by 0.3 inches. Light in weight and rigid materials have been used in order to decrease the weight and increase the durability of the car.

Al Castignetti, Vice President Sales, Nissan Division says, “The fresh character of the 2009 Nissan 370Z is immediately apparent in the crisp new exterior design, which is sportier yet still immensely identifiable as a Nissan z”. He further says, “One usually thinks of evolution as being linear. The new 370Z’s ‘super evolution’ builds on the best features of both the first and last generations Z–cars – respectful but not retro, simple yet sophisticated, and 110 percent pure ZÒ.”

It is for the first time in z generation that the car has aluminum door panels, aluminum hood and an aluminum hatch. In previous models, the used steel enforcements. The overall rigidity has been increased by 30%.
All in all, the new model with its high price has a lot to offer, not only exteriorly but also interiorly. The car been seen in “Need For Speed”, as Nissan has chosen this game for publicity.
