Symbian

Unlike iOS and Android, Symbian is not making much of an impression even with Symbian 3. It is certainly not what we had expected it to be. This is why everyone desperately wants an upgraded (and significantly enhanced) version ASAP. Nokia has promised us an upgrade (and a major one) in the coming year. Unfortunately, we couldn’t find much details of the upgrade except for few leaks.

First quarter of 2011 is said to be bringing some minor updates, while the second and third quarters will carry some of the bigger ones. A new web browser and easy-to-use UI is expected in the first quarter of 2011; an update all of us have been waiting for since long. For the major changes, we will have to wait till the mid (or end) of next year. According to what is heard, these big updates will include a complete make-over of the user interface with spanking new feel, an HTML5 web browser that can be upgraded, and a home screen with more flexibility than ever. Also, experiencing this update will not be much of a problem.
Let us wait till the promised time to see what is fulfilled and what has been ignored.
