Today is, indeed, a lucky day for Sony as the company has announced to sale more than 50 million PSPs all around the world. Though DS from Nintendo is enjoying a good success in console market, it can’t be said that the PSP is a complete fiasco at least the 50 million is a mark that may make you think about it in a different way.
The PSP was launched in Japan nearly four years back in Dec. 2004, and now Sony seemed to remind us that more than 2000 UMD titles of it are now available in different parts of the world and it has also sold more than 200m software till now. Considering all that, who can say that PSP was a failure?
According to a company statement, It’s planning to strongly promote the expansion of its PSP platform and offer different interactive in digital entertainment.
A report in CVG reveals that the Sony PSP manager in UK is expecting new IPs for the device during this year. Tell them:
“We will also launch a complete host of different important PlayStation IPs of the PSP platform.”
