Shaun Himmerick, the “Wheelman’s” executive producer and Midway employee, has told the “This Xbox Life” that the development of the PlayStation3 and the Xbox360 would be much unlike.

“Everyone developing a game just to lead on the PlayStation3 if it’s going to work for PS3 as well as on 360,” Himmerick added. “We need to play catch up on the PlayStation3, as its memory restraints, the way it processes is quite different from other and it is somewhat difficult for the PS3.”

There are many popular developers who have groused against this high power console from Sony.

Before the decline of PS3 in 2007, Gabe Newell once said that the PS3 wouldn’t be more than waste of time. He also said in an interview with Edge Magazine that it will give you long term benefits if you invest in the Cell. “You will get nothing, but hatred if you are going to apply for something and it can’t be reckoned as a nice and practical solution.”

According to a report in the journal of Dr. Dobb, when the PS3 development process was tested it was found that this console from Sony was   quite hard to program for. The author of this report also explains “The potential of the cell needs a developing effort that is a lot more than the usual platforms effort.”
