Sony is continuously going easy with connectivity and transferability, as it just announced a new mobile application that lets you effortlessly transfer your stuff from one phone to the other, wirelessly. This new application, named Xperia Transfer Mobile, is developed for Android operating system and can now be downloaded from Google Play Store.
Xperia Transfer Mobile would help Android users to pair two phones with a cable connection or wirelessly through Wi-Fi. In this way, you can conveniently transfer all the required stuff on your older phone to the new one, without engaging a PC. So far, the new Android application has done well, as I can see lots of positive reviews on the download page. It is easy to choose calendars, contacts, MMS, SMS, notes, bookmarks, apps, music, photos, and videos, individually or all at once for a straightforward relocation.
Transferring through Xperia Transfer Mobile is quite painless. All you have to do is download and install the application from the Play Store, connect two phones by giving same NFC/PIN Code, and choosing the media to be transferred. The functionality of this app is not limited to Android devices only, and can couple an Android device with iPhone too. However, it would require a corresponding or similar app on the other device with iOS.
Xperia Transfer Mobile is a successive version of Xperia Transfer, which was introduced a year back for Windows and Mac operating systems. The PC Companion and Bridge for Mac was compatible with multiple platforms including Android OS, Apple iOS, and Blackberry OS. However, PC was the required mediator for this desktop application.
Just like its earlier version, Xperia Transfer Mobile intends to bring in new users to the Xperia family; users, who are really concerned about the files and data on other devices.
