Sony has been working on introducing better features to their new Xperia handsets and now the mobile communications giant has announced the Jelly Bean 4.1 firmware update for some of the Xperia handsets globally. In the announcement, Sony revealed that they are introducing 4.1 Jelly Bean update for Xperia S, Xperia SL and Xperia acro S that will offer better experience to the users. Sony also said that they received lot of feedbacks and suggestions from the users that were experiencing few issues with the Jelly Bean 4.1 software that was available to them in the stock and therefore this maintenance release is important for all the users.
Sony also said that the new firmware update will eliminate some of the major problems that users were experiencing in their Sony Xperia handsets. During the announcement, the company said that they are always listening to their customers and therefore the update will make the operating system and the software better and improve some of the options that were missing or not functioning well.
The firmware update will improve the camera options like abnormality in the white balance and smoothening of 1080p video recording to minimize lag. It will also improve the Quick Launch button functionality. The firmware update will streamline Exchange Active Sync especially when running in encrypted set-up. It will also boost connection stability for 2G network data and ensure preferences on 3rd party apps remain after reboot.
The update will also make things better for those who are complaining of poor battery performance in Xperia S, Xperia SL and Xperia acro S. The update will regulate the power consumption in a better way and heat dispersion. It will also correct juice level notification especially when the battery power is running low. The firmware update also make certain changes like pressing the home key for few seconds will launch Google Now and double press will launch Recent Apps while the Volume Up button has been made fully responsive.
