Secret is going to be out; Sony Ericsson is launching its much awaited handset Sony Ericsson Xperia Play. If you are still an addict of PSP games even after growing up, its a good news for you, Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is a play station phone.

Xperia play is a new sleek smart phone plus portable gaming device, at a glance it looks like an average, touch screen smart phone with a 4 inches display. But it has much more in it. It has a slide open and surprisingly it do not have QWERTY key pad. In order to give it complete looks of a play station, the engineers has designed it in a way that you will find it a Sony play station. It has;

• 4 way D pad with directional buttons on left.

• Control keys on the right.

• Touch pad in the middle that serves the purpose of dual analog joysticks.

• Sony Ericsson Xperia, gives you an option if you don’t like to use directional buttons then, you can use the touch pad to play your favorite games and Vice versa.

• Xperia play has 6-axis motion control via an accelerometer and e-compass.

• 7 games are pre-loaded in Xperia play. One of them is “Star Battalion”, multi players can play this game via game loft live. Up to three players can sync over Wi-Fi.

• Due to LED-backlight screen, the imaging is exceptionally contrasted and, colors seem very attractive.

• There is a sliding panel, behind the screen with the set of control buttons. Due to its slide mechanism Xperia Play looks very solid and compact.

• Excellent sound.

Performance

• Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is a vey smart phone by nature, and with Google Android OS 2.3, it is really suited for gaming (software & hardware wise).

• When the phone appears in market, above 50 games will be available.

Sony Ericsson has tried to kill two birds with one stone- Sony Ericsson is aiming to capture the younger as well as older people, as its target market. Sony Ericsson Xperia play is such a handset you can not hide it from your children, and siblings who are found of PSP games.
