Sony has designed a miniature version of its inspirational smartphone, the Xperia Z1. Named after its predecessor, the Xperia TM Z1 Compact brings almost identical features as the original Z1, but is smaller in size.
The initiative seems to be in response to the miniature versions of its competitors, such as Samsung and HTC. However, unlike its competitors, the Z1 Compact provides all high-tech features to its customers in a lesser price range. The phone has been equipped with a powerful processor parallel to the original Z1, a good camera, longer battery life and the same glass coated plastic framework.
Provision of identical outclass features in a smaller body makes it an exception among the smartphone class. The Z1 Compact has sleek measurements of 127×64.9×9.5 millimeters and weighs 137g. Another similarity between Z1 and Z1 Compact is the IP57 certification, implying that the compact version is resistant to dust, scratches and one meter of water for approximately 30 minutes.
Price and Availability
Although the exact release dates have not yet been announced, the miniature model will be available for £449 ($606) in a range of 4 vibrant colors including white, black, pink and lime, so you can choose the one that suits your personality, mood, usage or gender. Speculations say, the handset will be available for purchase by late February.
Despite its compact size, the smartphone offers a competitive screen size of 4.3 inches having HD resolution of 720×1280 accompanied with the company’s trademark Triluminos Display Technology. Efficient display features integrated with an IPS screen give you a commendable display; although not as sharp as 1080p, but surely a resolution not offered in many compact cellphones. As for the usage, its compact size enables you to enjoy the premium features singlehandedly.
Concluding the discussion, the new Xperia Z1 Compact gives you the right blend of features, quality, variety and comfort in a smaller, sleeker and impressive architecture.
