They see their boom for two to three years and then the other one emerges and steals away all the limelight. Yup, your guess is right. I am talking about social networking sites. Myspace charm began to fade during 2005 and Facebook came up as the biggest social network in 2007. And who knows what will be the fate of Facebook and many other online bigwigs considering the current Twitter craze.

Now everyone seems to talk about this emerging social networking site and some even have been hearing saying so that it may surpass not only Facebook, but many other current big players of the online world. A considerable increase in site’s popularity can be easily witnessed especially after waffles from Philip Schofield on TV, but it’s also a fact that the popularity of the site was gradually increasing even before that.

A large of migrators are making Twitter their new social network home, but often these migrators appear with their unpleasant e-habits that they have developed on some other social networking sites.

Different people are interpreting the usefulness of the site in different ways and no doubt most of these users are causing annoyance for one another.

If you want to avoid en-masse, you definitely need to act wisely and the following simple rules can be very handy to avoid becoming unfollowed on Twitter.

1) Avoid using Twitter account for RSS feed

For heaven’s sake! Don’t reckon Twitter as an RSS reader, it’s often quite nagging when some website or corporate account is followed to get some appealing content and nothing worthwhile is achieved.

2) Don’t repeat, what you have already tweet

You believe it or not, but it happens again and again. People often re-tweet when none notices their tweets which they consider funny or clever. If you reckon some tweet funny or clever, it is possible that others may not find it so. So, just try again with something new instead of repeating it again.

3) Using same stuff for both feeds

Some little apps like TweetDeck are quite fascinating indeed, but it’s really a bad idea to integrate updates of Facebook status. There are many who have abandoned Facebook, but we find a large number of status updates for Twitter. It is, indeed, an annoying, lazy and infuriating if you use the same stuff for both feeds.

4) Don’t brag all the time

People, who seem to brag and crow about their fun time all the time, are often reckoned as annoying idiots. It’s okay if you tell your acquaintances about doing something great, but if you do so the whole the long, you may become tedious and annoying for many.

5) Twitter is something more than a chat window

If you have to make even more than 15 tweets conversation with some acquaintance, it is better to use Windows Live or Yahoo! Messenger instead of putting all that stuff in your tweets. You can also get a room for this purpose.
