Your beast of a 1999-2004 Cobra is one mean machine. A monstrous supercharged engine, aggressive and eye-catching styling, otherworldly handling, high-quality interior… the list could go on and on. But the thing to think about is this: your Cobra, bad as it is, is still pretty much the same as everyone else’s. It has all the same factory parts; nothing personalized to fit your exact needs as a Cobra owner. Well, now it’s time to change all that. And to start, you’re going to need something that really announces this change. Something that lets all the other drivers know you’re coming from miles away, and to clear a damn path because you and your customized Cobra are coming through. What you need is a Mustang SLP Loudmouth Exhaust.
Let’s do a quick rundown of all the advantages you’re going to be getting from this exhaust. First of all, it uses SLP’s “Shotgun”-style race resonators, in order to achieve the minimal flow restriction and the meanest sound around. And, not only is this Mustang SLP Exhaust constructed entirely from mandrel-bent stainless steel, but it has been engineered and built to OEM standards to ensure proper fit on your Cobra. Oh, and how about the fact that it adds a consistent 25 RWHP to your Snake, with vehicles that have been even further modified with other performance parts showing even larger increases in horsepower than that average figure. Go ahead. Pick up your jaw. We can wait until you’re ready to go on.
SLP has also innovated a modular technology for its exhausts, which means that makes it possible to switch between SLP muffler and SLP resonator types in a matter of minutes, instead of having to perform complicated installs on exhaust parts of varying sizes. So if you’ve got some mufflers or resonators you use when you’re showing off your Snake, and another set you use when inspection time rolls around, then this is the perfect set up for you. And as a final styling touch from SLP, this exhaust features hand-polished, double-wall 3.5″ tips, so even the small bit of exhaust pipe that people typically get to see looks as good as the whole system sounds.
