A great event in developer world is going to be held next month i.e. the Developer Conference. 14th – 16th July have been allocated to the event. The organizers of this event had sanctioned a survey regarding who is the top game developer. Majority number of votes were given to Shigeru Miyamoto; the icon of game developing world.

Shigeru Miyamoto is a Japanese game developer and producer, who is held in high esteem by the tech world. He is called “father of modern video games” and “the Walt Disney of electronic gaming.” Surely, these two titles tell a lot about the title holder. A semi-professional dog breeder too, Shigeru Miyamoto has created wonderful games like Nintendogs and Wii Music, and helped in development of Mario, Donkey Kong, the Legend of Zelda, Star Fox and Pikmin.

Andy Lane, Managing Director of Develop organizer Tandem Events said, “It’s no surprise that Miyamoto-san is the development hero of developers —- He has mastered the art of developing titles that are innovative but never at the cost of game play: games that are ground breaking, yet still mass market.”

He is followed by John Cormack, Will Wright, Dave Jones, Sid Meier, Peter Molyneux, David Braben, Masaya Matsuura, Michael Morhaime and Jonathan Blow.
