The Android craze is now getting far from just mobile phones and Google is planning to push it from the small screens of mobile phones to the bigger screens of tablets and TVs, along with Google. Samsung is also reported to be interested in the Android OS for their future internet connected televisions. This statement came from a Spokesman of Samsung while talking to Herald “We are considering (working on) Google TVs. We are examining the business feasibility of Google TVs”. This trend of Android TV is not only stopped at Samsung and Google but Sony has also some plans for such new technological innovation.

The availability of android platform for the TVs will surely take the internet connections on the TVs on some more heights and thus the downloading facility for internet widgets like YouTube, Weather, Stocks and anything else on the android marketplace. Warren East, CEO of ARM while talking to TechRadar about this issue said that “Google invented Android for the small screen, but in a world of open source developers can take what’s out there and stretch it for all kinds of different formats”. Thus there should be no doubt in this fact that Android has set up it ways for the internet TVs and now the glory of android platform will be enjoyable on the bigger screens.
