What is this small gadget? Is it a camera or a phone? In fact, it is both! Samsung has introduced this 8 mega pixel camera touch screen phone, this February, equipped with variety of applications. With price as low as $250, it is a better option while buying a phone as compared to Samsung Innov8.

Let us have a look at its specifications:

  • 105.9 x 53.6 x 14 mm
  • 125 g
  • 240 x 400 pixels, 3.0 inches
  • TFT resistive touch screen, 256 K colors
  • Accelerometer sensor
  • MicroSD (Trans Flash) up to 16GB
  • WAP 2.0 / xHTML, HTML
  • GPRS Class 10 ( 4+1/3+2 slots ), 32 – 48 kbps
  • HSCSD
  • HSDPA
  • GPS with A-GPS support
  • EDGE Class 10, 236.8 kbps
  • Bluetooth v 2.0 with A2DP
  • Micro USB v 2.0

  • Java MIDP 2.0
  • Document viewer (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF)
  • Standard battery, Li-Ion 1000 mAh
  • Standby up to 300 hrs
  • Talk time up to 5 hrs 30 minutes

This phone looks lot like a camera. It is a smart looking mobile phone, with a touch screen, and a highly functional camera. T929 is black in color and has silver lining on the sides. Graphics are awesome, and picture quality marvelous. The automatic internal accelerometer changes the display orientation at 90 degrees by sensing hand motions.

Phone shows an on screen full QWERTY keyboard, too, which has a “.com” button when browser is in use. It features Samsung’s proprietary TouchWiz interface, associated with applications like clock, music player, weather widget etc. It also supports direct uploading of photos to online photo sharing websites like Flickr and Photo bucket, Snap fish and Kodak Gallery.

It has almost all the fresh technological applications, except Wi-Fi. Main characteristic is the 8 mp camera and amazing photo quality. Phone features a simple music player which supports playback while browsing or messaging.

Pros:

  • Stylish design
  • Wonderful camera
  • Direct photo uploading
  • Accelerometer sensor

Cons:

  • No Wi-Fi
  • Limited widgets

Overall, this is a must-get if you are not crazy about wireless internet, and are a fan of high quality camera phones. This is a nice and affordable cell phone, with premium quality camera.
