Ever thought of a mobile phone with high definition video recording? Samsung just gave concrete shape to your idea with its brand new i8910 HD, formerly known as Omnia HD. This is the first cell phone ever which facilitates the users with high def video recording that is certainly a big shot from Samsung.
Right now, this phone is being sold in the UK by Orange. High def recording is its major selling point that is in fact unique as no other mobile has ever offered this luxury. 720p recording at 24 fps by a handheld phone is nothing less than awesome. Moreover, the display screen is 3.7” AMOLED, which makes the videos look even more remarkable.
As far as the still camera is concerned, it is also a huge 8MP with LED flash, Face Detection, Smile Shot, Blink Shot and Panorama Shot modes. It is a media hub that supports DivX, XviD, H.263, H.264, WMV and MPEG4 videos, and MP3, AAC / AAC+, eAAC+ and WMA videos audio. Powered by latest Symbian S60 operating system, i8910 HD has 8GB onboard memory.
Other features of the phone include accelerometer for autorotation, a compass for finding out the directions, built in GPS, proximity center and a light sensor. It is available at Orange for £40 per month, in a 24 months (2 yrs) contract.
