Samsung had announced world’s smallest camcorder HMX-R10 this January, which is expected to hit the market in April. With dimensions as diminutive as 130 mm x 38 mm x 58 mm and weight as light as 229 g; this camcorder is quite small but highly professional.

This 9 mp video recorder offers full HD 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It is equipped with a 5x optical zoom feature, which provides better close ups and clearer videos. Video recording is not the only function provided by this compact gadget, but it also serves as a high resolution 12 mp still camera, making it a two in one tiny machine. Though, the 12 mp still camera feature can only be reached through pause. All this is backed up by a CMOS sensor, measuring 1/4.5 inches.

Design is extremely eye catching, with a sleek and compact look. It also has a 2.7 inch touch screen flip out LCD monitor for viewing recorded movies, videos and photos.

A criticized feature of this handy camcorder is the 25 degrees angle at which lens is located. Some say that it is a short coming, but the truth is that it facilitates the user with relaxed and tension free hand grip. It gives a comfortable angle to hands and elbows while filming a scene. Thus, less pressure will be experienced by the shooter.

This world’s smallest camcorder’s price is still to be unveiled. Let us all wait for April to get our hands on this trendy thingamajig.
