Sony Computer entertainment made a quick announcement today that they would be upgrading the v2.60 firmware as soon as tomorrow. The news was first reflected on the US playstation blog where you can actually see the rundown of the few features of the firmware. The main feature is the brand new Photo gallery application that offers all the tools to view as well as organize images and is also a 100 MB download in itself.
The digital prints can now be sorted out in several ways where the default view is the scrolling timeline. But nowadays, you can also program the camera to work accordingly. Well, the P3 allows you to sort the pictures by the colour schemes and the number of people present in the picture.
It can also sort in accordance to the ages of the people in the photos accompanied by their facial expressions. Other features in the firmware include the guest entry to the Playstation store in order to browse through the different products and do not allow any such illegal downloads.
