Pioneer has officially launched its latest Blu-ray player which is called the BDP-LX91. Pioneer has been boasting about its BD-live compatibility along with the company’s newly developed 16-bit video engine. It operates on the Adaptive Bit Length Expansion expertise and company has termed the BDP-LX91 to be of the reference quality when it comes to the colour and the presentation.
The player offers the latest 7.1 channel Dolby Tru HD when it comes to the audio as well as the DTS – HD master audio decoding including the bit stream output. This is backed up by the eight Wolfson audio digital converters. There are two HDMI ports hence you can have separate channels for video and audio outputs.
You will not come across any leakage in the audio sound system due to the aluminium body of the player. If you are already using the Pioneer products then the Kuro link will easily configure with your TV’s remote control. The Blu-ray Pioneer BDP-LX91 has been thoroughly reviewed in the Home Cinema Choice’s blog and has been awarded the 5 star rating. It also refers to this machine as the “Blu-ray royalty”.
The player is out in January and the cost is approximately £1,500.
