The Smartphone industry’s competition has been raised to such a high level that even the PCs have been left behind. The latest Smartphone’s have brought such fantastic browsing capabilities which have diverted people towards them instead of going to the PCs for their web related work.
According to an estimate by Gartner who has forecasted the changing browsing habits, suggested the increasing popularity of Smartphones specially the recently released one ‘the Google Nexus One’. Thus the future can thought to be more than this because the 4G iPhone is soon to come and the new phone will feature some more advance features and capabilities.
Gartner has also predicted that in 2013 the phones will completely take over this job from the PCs and that would be definitely the peak time of the international mobile markets. Another very interesting point suggested by Gartner was that “fifth of businesses will own no IT assets by 2012” and they might be preferring instead to rely on cloud-based services and letting employees using their PCs for work. This doesn’t mean that we might be dumping our computers in the coming years but only the trend of web browsing might only shift towards the mobile phone.
