The most famous and wide spread operating system of Google has now came under legal complaints. The real story is that Oracle had filed a law suit against Google that reported it for the infringement of patents and copyrights during the development of android. This report came out in the late Thursday press release and further details were not provided for this infringement act as claimed is done by Google.
This lawsuit was filed on Thursday in the U.S. District Court in San Francisco and it further seeks the Jury trial.
While discussing on this issue the Oracle Spokesman Karen Tillman said that “In developing Android, Google knowingly, directly and repeatedly infringed Oracle’s Java-related intellectual property. This lawsuit seeks appropriate remedies for their infringement.”
Gartner has revealed a report regarding the android platform earlier today and according to that the Android platform is getting popular day by day and it will soon leave away RIM in this category and will take the 2nd position after the Symbian operating system.
CNet has reported a Google representative of saying that the company has not yet being served with the lawsuit and therefore they can’t comment unless they get a chance to review it.
