At last, the long awaited Nokia N97 is about to appear this summer. The stylish slider with a full QWERTY keyboard was being awaited since long by Nokia lovers as well as by the critics. This little multimedia computer will slide right into your hands for $699 before subsidies. 19th June has been announced for UK launch, whereas no definite date has been given by the mobile phone giant for US launch.

Pre-order is available on Nokia’s website, in black and white color. From 26th of June, the phone will hit mobile operators in the UK reportedly. Still, it has not been defined as which carriers will be joining. As for the specs of this long awaited beauty, let us take a start with 32 GB on board memory and a nice 5 MP camera. The already-huge memory is further expandable to another 16 GB through microSD. Freshly, a Facebook app has been released for Nokia N97 that is also compatible with Nokia 5800. This otherwise-nice-but-lacking-chat-feature app can be downloaded from the Ovi store.

There seems to be a mobile phone battle coming up, with Nokia N97, Palm Pre and Apple’s new iPhone launching narrowly. Surely, this summer is going to be fun.
