At CeBIT Microsoft has made the announcement to expand the commercial availability of its Surface machines in the UK.
Till now, this computing platform, which responds to hand gestures and other such stuff, was available only in the United States and Canada, but it is being brought into more than a dozen other markets of the Middle East, Europe, Africa including Germany, France, the UK and UAE.
Microsoft Surface, general manager Panos Panay says in this connection: “We have got a nice overwhelming response after the initial release of Microsoft Surface. Many companies in different parts of world have been looking for developing new ways to provide more innovation and aptness to those various customers who always want to develop applications that can be developed with other available technologies.”
“We are quite pleased to enter these new markets with those partners that have started to find various possibilities of the Surface locally,” he added.
At present the available pricing is available only in Euros and a standard Surface machine has a €11,000 price tag.
You can get an extra developer unite if you are willing to stretch out an extra €2,000. This developer will allow partners who have SDK to modify the Surface with their own software.
