Microsoft Confirms Office 2010 Release in January Next Year

Microsoft OfficeMicrosoft has previously labeled it as Office 14, but now dubbed as Office 2010, the new software is going to be shipped for different makers earlier next year without any public beta version release.

Different reports emerged on some tech sites seem to point towards change of its name and slimmer ad-supported online versions of many programs like PowerPoint, Excel, Word and OneNote.

According to Chris Capossela, Microsoft’s Senior Vice President, the Office 2010 to be released next year for some manufacturers earlier next year, but he also added that it would take six weeks to four months to be available for consumers.

No price point has been given yet about the new office non-advertising and non-cloud version of the new software.

Microsoft says that the new program will be launched as a technical preview to a large number of users, but unlike public beta of Windows 7 profile quite readily.

The last big upgrade to Office was Office 2007 that had two betas and also allow user to have free trial of its features in their web browsers.

As are expecting, you will find 32-bit as well as 64-bit versions of the Office 2010.
