Apple released the update for its iPhone OS 3.0 few hours back, which was been awaited for a long time. This is a major updated version with a lot new features that will boost the iPhone demand even higher.

First of all, the App store has been enhanced. The “in-App” feature will allow the users to buy updated versions of games and applications they love to use on their iPhone.

A brand new feature of this updated version, originally taken from the Nintendo DSi, is wireless gaming. Now the iPhone holders can play against each other via the Bluetooth. Once an IP connection is developed, users can begin their challenge against each other in any game they like, provided the players-to-be share that specific application.

Applications which are able to “talk directly to the hardware” are a new and exciting addition. For instance, the FM transmitter will be enabled to transmit improved signals, and give a better music listening experience to the user.

As far as locations regarding features are concerned, Apple has taken care of that, too. By working with Google, Apple has allowed the developers to introduce the map features into their applications. This increases the anticipation for a lot more map-inclined applications and games. Also, GPS will enable the developers to introduce turn by turn instructions into their applications.

Here comes the Push email feature. This is certainly a great feature for business inclined individuals. Though, 5 hours of battery life is a big drawback. Also, photos can be attached to emails now. For video and audio streaming as well as for in-game voice, a new API has also been introduced in this update.

Perhaps the most awaited feature of iPhone was the Cut-Paste element. Pleasantly, this feature has been included in this update. Apple seems to be working really hard to make it impeccable. Double tapping automatically selects the text and a box pop up with a lot of options including cut and paste. Undoing is even simpler; just shake your gadget!

There seems that a lot of changes have been made to this brilliant phone, taking it even higher in the race of all-in-one phones. Apple has done it again.
