Select Text with Keyboard:

Previously when you wanted to copy and paste any particular part of a document, you must have faced a problem that adjacent pictures and link get copied too. It was the most annoying thing, but now the Internet Explorer has finally found a solution to this problem by adopting the Fire Fox caret browsing feature and now all you have to do is to find the text that you want to copy, click on it and hold the shift key on your keyboard and drag the navigation or arrow key to the text you want to copy, by simply pressing ctrl+c to copy and ctrl+v to paste and you are done.

You can now personalize your status bar:

With the new Internet Explorer 8, now you can easily edit the status bar as you like but you have to be very careful when you do this. In order to personalize the status bar you have to edit the Window registry, you can easily do this by simply following this procedure;

Start up the Registry editor, click on the (+) which is adjacent to hkey_current_user, then double click on software, then on Microsoft, then on Internet Explorer, then on Main. Then click on the empty space on the right hand side and the select New, then String value, and then press Enter. Now click on the Registry entry and write your required text and then click OK. Now when you start you Internet explorer 8 you will see the text that you had written in the data box on your status bar.

Accelerators:

Microsoft had made a new addition to the Internet Explorer 8 and that is of the Accelerators, it is a form of selection based search which enables the user to open an online account which is basically a service provided for the multiple web pages using the mouse only. It will help you in the way that you only have to highlight the part you want and then a blue button will appear which contains the menu of services and you can chose from those you want to do. Microsoft says that the intention behind the accelerators is to eliminate the hassle between copy and pasting in between the web pages, and it will save valuable time as well.

Private Browsing:

The internet Explorer 8 provides you the full internet browsing protection and privacy. It means that if you switch on to the InPrivate mode none of your non wanted web history will be saved in the computer, which also includes cookies, form data and password. You can also keep a default limit for the number of the web pages appearing in your history as for example if a web page is repeatedly being used say 10 time it will be deleted and will not be saved, well you can always keep the number down to as minimum as you want.

Try the Suggested sites:

The Internet Explorer 8 is no doubt a smart explorer as it suggests you with some suggested sites every time you enter a search query which is based on the previously relevant searched web sites. You can enable this function by using tools and the click on the suggested sites, the Internet Explorer 8 will send you a list of relevant web sites and from here you can carry on with your search.
