Intel one of the largest chipmaker of the world has confirmed that their company came under the ‘sophisticated’ attacks earlier this year and it has also been reported that at the same time Google’s network was also attacked by the Chinese hackers.
This Monday an annual report was filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission and in that Intel claimed that they had been hit in January. According to the official announcements it has been said that “We regularly face attempts by others to gain unauthorized access through the Internet to our information technology systems by, for example, masquerading as authorized users or surreptitious introduction of software”
The details of the attacks have not been revealed by the company and it is very amazing to know that many biggest companies of the world had been under sophisticated attacks in the previous month but some reports say that there was no relation between Intel’s attack and Google’s, A spokesman by Intel Chuck Mulloy also denied the connection between both attacks and the only connection was timings. Google has claimed that around 30 companies were hit by the Chinese hacker while some other reports also claim that the number is greater than this. Thus we can say that hackers have largely attacked many big organizations at the start of this year.
