As mentioned earlier, the Intel Core 2 Quad Mobile Processor Q9000 has been housed in the Acer’s recently launched 8930Gnotebook and this processor is running with 12MB of shared L2 cache in this laptop an with 2.53GHz clock speed rate upward and a 1066 MHz front side bus.

Aside from the Q9000 chip, there are many other impressive features in the new Acer notebook that also include DDR3 memory of 4GB, an 18.4inch LCD, a 1/2TB SATA hard disk and a NVIDIA GeForce 9700M GT graphic card.

That’s insane 3ghz with 8mb cache, I could burn 10 dvds and play 5 mmorpgs at the same time with that type of power. I still don’t think AMD can match up with intel after having myself an intel core 2 duo extreme cpu I’ll have to stick with intel and now that they’re coming out with quad core extreme that’s just insane.

I own Intel Dual core(centrino) and I am satisfied with its speed . 3 GHz with 8 Mb cache some thing that one can only dream of. Quadcore is just the extreme thing.Intel is not only running fast, it is flying high.Keep it up.

Howmuch ever AMD is trying it could not cope up with Intel.Intel is rocking with technology and in terms of loyal customers base and Obviously stays the leader. But the Quad core processors cost a fortune.

I’d ask how much these quad-core chips will go for, but they sound expensive. Kudos to AMD for trying to present Intel with some competition; competition inspires innovation, after all. And that means faster, better looking (and cheaper) computers for us, the consumers… :)

Assuming the new processor by AMD really is 3 ghz… my laptop is half that speed. And it cost a pretty penny too/ is considered fairly fast.

To put things in a little perspective, my laptop is about half the speed of 3 ghz. And it cost me a pretty penny last year. It’s also considered fairly fast…
