Hp Acquiring Palm
Palm one of the most struggling mobile phone makers of the international markets now comes the acquisition of HP which is taking deep interest towards the mobile development nowadays. This News has been flashed on the official blog of both these companies that an agreement has been passed between both these companies and according to it HP is going to buy Palm for $1.2 billion. It is strongly believed that the combination of both these platforms will bring some new and exciting competition in the Smartphone industry and in future we can get highly innovative Smartphones coming from HP’s side.
Todd Bradley, executive vice president of Personal Systems Group of HP while discussing about this issue stated that “Palm’s innovative operating system provides an ideal platform to expand HP’s mobility strategy and create a unique HP experience spanning multiple mobile connected devices”. We have seen that Palm had been into some bad times in the past and still the company has not came as the highly advanced one and it needs a buyer, and for HP Palm WebOs is one of the most exciting operating systems that can earn a lot of fame.
The Palm CEO Jon Rubinstein also shows his pleasure in a statement “We’re thrilled by HP’s vote of confidence in Palm’s technological leadership, which delivered Palm WebOS and iconic products such as the Palm Pre”. Thus it can be undoubtedly said that both the companies are going to have a great future because of the collaboration each is providing to the other.
