Buying and placing a HDTV in your launch is not a big deal but to get full benefits of it is the best usage of your spent money. Most of people are not aware of the settings of HDTV and because of that they rely only on the default settings thus blame the TV not to be as good as claimed. If you don’t want to be one such user the read the tips described below very clearly and practice them with your HDTV to get the best out of it.

1. First of all if you want to have the best picture quality then the first thing you have to do is to calibrate your picture. Once you have connected your TV with the home theater. Your picture’s brightness and contrasts are based on the environment of your home and you need some kind of test plan to check what kind of picture really suits your environment. For this insert any disc with movie recorded in THX audio, as the THX discs and the blue ray discs have calibration tools in the disc setup area. Remember before starting adjust your room’s lightening to the normal viewing level, turn sharpness down to normal and make it sure that the color temperature in near to 6500 degree Kelvin. Then starts the THX optimizer which will guide you throughout the session and it will guide you through five test patterns you can select them according to your environment.

2. Some latest HDTV have started using a judder which use its fast refresh rates to smooth out motion blur. This smoothing technology has different name for different TVs like Motion Flow (Sony), Motion Picture Pro3 (Panasonic) and others. This affect often seems unnatural when watching movies so while watching movies you should either turn off or reduce the smoothing settings and remember go through all smoothing settings and then decide which one suits you the best.

3. Now come to the audio, you should know the way in which you can get best benefits from your HDTV in terms of its audio. First of all you will need to invest on the speakers in order to get the best results as the integrated speakers can’t give you the best and if you feel that more speaker will have more wires and it will mess up your room then you should go for a sound bar which is a long horizontal speaker system that can provide best virtual sound and it is ideal for small rooms. If you want to have some more blasting kind of sound then you should go for 5.1 or 7.1 channel surround sound system unless you buy a home theatre coming along with both speakers and receivers. In case you didn’t get all in a box and you want to go for 5.1 or7.1 channel then surf online for their room arrangement and settings to get them installed at their best.

4. The main thing about audio is the correct placement of speakers. Either you are using a 5.1 or 7.1 system you should know the correct placement of speakers. You can easily get details about placement from the internet and try to place them accordingly to shake your home with the beauty of audio.

5. Finally if you don’t want to get your room messed up with the wires of speakers then you can go for the wireless surround speakers as now a day’s most of companies are offering wireless surround speakers. So go for them now and experience the clarity and sharpness of sound.

These all techniques can be of very use if implemented correctly. I think every HDTV owner should try them so that they can get the full benefit from this revolutionary class of televisions.
