There are some tricks which you can apply to get the most out of your Xbox 360. Obviously, Microsoft doesn’t tell the users the extent to which they can enjoy their gaming tool. So, these are more like secrets. The whole thing sounds more interesting now, doesn’t it? Now, let us begin with few tricks that we can apply for optimum enjoyment.

  • While playing one of the original Xbox games, your favorite mp3 playback is impossible. There must be some way out so that you can get rid of the funny game soundtracks. Now, there is a solution. Just play your chosen mp3 play list before switching on the game, and yes! Do not forget to turn the game sounds off before starting it or the amalgam of both sounds will drive you mad.
  • Do you know about the 360 blog? It links with your Live account and automatically produces entries regarding what it has been up to and what not. You will be surprised to get a record of your own gaming habits and routine. It helps you get informed about what your 360 buddies are up to or have been up to lately. This is fun!
  • Is it becoming difficult to get your tool online and download the latest updates? There is that old technique, find solution with your PC or Mac. From Xbox website, you can download all the latest stuff, and burn it to a disk, simply place this disk into your 360 and here you go! Respond to the popup according to your wish.
  • Nothing is more irritating than a slow machine. Has your 360 gone all dead slow? Then you might have to clear the cache. There is a function which clears the cache by selecting memory, then HD, and pressing yes. Again, hit X, X, Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X and X. After that, a message pops up about maintenance. It might delete some patches of your games, but frees enough space to run the console at a nice speed.
  • MS still hesitates to add a web browser in Xbox. You can get this problem solved. Download MCE browser plug in, and set it up on the PC, provided that you are using Windows XP Media Center or Vista Home Premium/Ultimate., and the PC runs on the same network. You can get browse websites by configuring your gaming console as Media Extender.
  • Xbox produces a great deal of noise, surely. It disturbs a lot while playing an intense game or watching a favorite movie. The despicable fans MS has used in Xbox can be replaced by Talismoon Whisper Fans. This comes with the drawback of compromising your Xbox’s warranty. Also, there will be no effect on the roaring DVD drive.
  • When you are playing a music CD or a saved file, press “X”. This takes you to a world of beautiful visualizations. Enjoy the colors and play with them through controls. User manual will help understand the function more.
  • If you attach your Xbox to different displays frequently, it may end up in a blank or flashing screen. Do not worry! Pull out all the disks from your 360, and turn it off. Switch it on again via the game pad, and hold the “Y” button all the time it takes to boot. Afterwards, hold the right trigger. This simplest procedure will reset your display settings to default.
  • Xbox supports playing music from your iPod. This optional function can be downloaded from theMarketplace. After downloading, the iPod can be plugged into your Xbox, and you can navigate through the play lists, albums, and artists etc.
  • The HDMI outputs have been built in such a way that the standard component/composite video cable cannot be plugged in with its crucial optical audio output at the same time as HDMI. Also, the official HDMI cable with audio adapter is quite expensive. There is a large plastic box at the end of the standard video cable that connects to the console, which can be cut off by a knife and made pretty smaller. This will allow the user to connect it adjacent to the HDMI cable.

So, this is a little about what can be done to get the maximum out of your Xbox 360. Hope these suggestions are helpful enough for you to enjoy your console more than ever.
