The Google I/O conference finally showed up with the News that was strongly expected ‘the Google TV’ finally got the official platform and it is no more a rumor or anything like that. According to the company the amount of computer users is as much as 1 billion and the mobile users are even bigger with 2 billion users.

Still the television user’s count has not yet been reached; according to the claims almost 4 billion users spend almost 5 hours a day in front of TV. The simple yet comprehensive slogan which Google announced at the time of release says that ‘TV meets Web. Web Meets TV’. The new Google TV is built on the Android platform, it uses Google chrome for the fast and well internet surfing and with that it also carries flash 10.1 so that users may get the access to majority of content available online.
According to the company’s statement provided in the official blog “We’re working together with Sony and Logitech to put Google TV inside of televisions, Blu-ray players and companion boxes. These devices will go on sale this fall, and will be available at Best Buy stores nationwide”. So this fall is bringing a great goody for the TV users and it’s sure that majority of people will be waiting for this new gift from the internet giant.
