Google and RIM have chalked a deal under which Google’s Gamil and Mobile Search apps will be ported on BlackBerry platform.

So, it will allow business BlackBerrys to house some favorite Google apps. It’s, indeed, a pretty big thing for all those who want some really legitimate Google apps and now are currently working in their offices and either have declined or got a new BlackBerry that has been locked down quite heavily.

If you want to push that apps down in your handset, you may need to contact your office IT person or you need to use the same IT bods where these apps are downloaded in a secure and hassle free way.

No matter it’s an indicator to more business accounts of Gmail or just a step towards tandem email address, everything goes in users’ direction.

The virtues of the new deal can be seen on Google’s blog: “To look for desired information while on the go would be quite handy for workers and corporate, as these apps will allow them to search their queries through voice or instantly typing the queries in the history of their search.”

“These Google mobile apps, will allow blackberry users to find out everything that they look online such as product information, stock quotes and weather. Users will also search things locally with the help of My Location that tells you all about the nearest pizza shop, or hotels in your vicinity.”

The ability to quickly search for information outside of the office is useful to workers. But in my prospective I think that this is a way to promote Gmail services so that the BlackBerry users may totally depend on Gmail for that matter.
Also this provides one way calendar synchronization…but we alre4ady getting two way calendar synchronization by Google Sync….
    So where lays the benefit.
