Google’s Cool move to resist Malware Attack

Virus…..it really sucks computers, cell phones and other gadgets. Last week android malware affected thousands of cell-phones. Malware originate from rouge apps that approached the personal data part from other hardware functions.

What do u think, who could solve this issue?, None other than Google. Google gained immense popularity due to its Android Apps for Smart (Android) Phones. This time Google has come up with the solution for virus affected phones. It has issued a patch to all cell-phones that are affected by Malware.

Malware Removal-Two step process

Android Market Security Tool March 2011 has been sent to 260,000 affected devices. It’s a two step process. In first step email from Google inform whether customer is affected by Malware or not, whereas the second email contains the confirmation message that new code has been installed.

How it Works?

Remote kill switch has been used by Google to eradicate the Malware from cell-phones. In addition it also sends the patch update. Google has provided 58 Malware-loaded apps to Android market.

Who are the Victims?

Cell-phones that have software higher than Android 2.2.2 are safe yet. Hence if you have an Android cell-phone and you want to keep it secure from Malware, use the latest versions of Android software.

Google should be proactive in future

In future Google should be proactive and resist the virus attack in smart ways. It should look for some more cool and effective solutions so that people might not lose their important data and avoid the malfunctioning of hardware.
